Phil Martie

Phil Martie founded Nicolette based on his experience with premature twins in 2014, with the goal of empowering patients fighting acute health battles to be their own competent advocates. Prior to founding Nicolette, Phil was VP of Operations at Canon’s Business Process Services division.

Michel Mikhael, MD

Michel Mikhael co-founded Nicolette out of enthusiasm for premature babies, family-centered care, and to improve communications in healthcare. Michel is a board-certified pediatrician and neonatologist by the American Academy of Pediatrics. He currently practices at one of the top children’s hospitals in the US.

Seth Brickman

Seth co-founded Nicolette out of his belief that we are all here for a purpose bigger than ourselves and helping patients and providers partner in healthcare helps accomplish that. Seth is a veteran of the US Navy and has been a senior executive at several companies including Amazon, Microsoft, and Holland America cruise line.

Mindy Morris

Mindy is a doctoral prepared nurse practitioner with a passion for improving the NICU experience for the baby and their families. Mindy has worked in the NICU in a variety of roles for over 30 years, improving the quality of care for babies, families, and the healthcare team.

Michael

Michael is passionate about innovation and decreasing the barrier to entrepreneurialism. He has spent his career working in the startup industry, has an extensive technical background, and has led various product teams. He finds the passion of the team and the mission behind Nicolette inspiring.

Michael Clark

Michael brings over 25 years of experience in academic medicine to Nicolette, striving to accomplish the healthcare Quadruple Aim: better patient outcomes, improved patient experience, improved experience for the clinical care team, and lower cost of healthcare delivery.

Michael has promoted the quadruple aim through research, innovation, and business leadership. He holds ten years of service in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago and 15 years of combined service with the University of Colorado Department of Pediatrics & Children’s Hospital Colorado Research Institute and Center for Innovation.

Michael is currently an independent healthcare consultant and developer of new products. He holds a Bachelor of Finance and a Master’s of E-Commerce Technology degrees, both from DePaul University.

Andrey Ostrovsky

Dr. Andrey Ostrovsky is a social entrepreneur and practicing physician. He served as the Chief Medical Officer for the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS). Prior to working for Medicaid, he co-founded and sold his software company, Care at Hand, an award-winning predictive analytics platform that used insights of non-medical staff to prevent aging people from being hospitalized. Dr. Ostrovsky has served on several boards and committees dedicated to interoperability standards, quality improvement and measurement, and innovation including the National Quality Forum, Office of the National Coordinator, and the Commonwealth Fund. Prior to Care at Hand, he led teams at the World Health Organization, United States Senate, and San Francisco Health Department toward health system strengthening through technology.

Andrey holds a Medical Doctorate and undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Psychology Magna cum Laude from Boston University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Andrey completed his pediatrics residency training in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital where he was a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. He is currently teaching faculty and attending physician at Children’s National Medical Center.

Elizabeth (Liz) Haar

Liz has spent over half of her 35-year career in president or CEO roles in both the health care and property and casualty insurance industries. She has significant experience in acquisitions and start-ups, and currently advises early stage companies and CEO’s/Boards on leadership, growth and operational excellence. Liz became a Nicolette Advisor because of her desire to help improve patient experiences and outcomes.

Jay Goss

Jay has spent his entire professional career working with and for early stage companies, in operating roles (CEO, President, GM, COO, CFO and CMO) and sometimes as an advisor. Jay has worked with more than 30 early stage companies, including “traditional” start-ups as well as intrapreneurially building businesses for mature corporations such as Disney, Reed Elsevier (London) and Summa Group (Moscow).

Tynan Szvetecz

Tynan Szvetecz believes the future of patient engagement and informed consent will be anchored in transformational organizations like Nicolette. As Chief Technology Officer, Tynan is leveraging a two-decade career focused on building cross-functional and dynamic partner ecosystems that enable delivering progressive digital health technology with speed. He is an advisor for multiple accelerators and incubators across the country, and has deployed next-generation digital health solutions into DaVita, University of Texas Medical Branch, US Oncology, Allscripts and more.
